Ohio native Aaron Risner is a New York City based makeup artist specializing in editorial and fashion makeup application. His creativity began during his early childhood he began to realize how different he was from the people around him, longing for more than what his small town had to offer aesthetically. He found a way to escape and fill his desires by reading fictional books that created worlds so spectacular and full of color. It was with this fascination that he began to want to bring these ideas of the things we have not seen before and new ways of experiencing color through drawing, fashion, especially Makeup Design.

 

After graduating high school Aaron made the decision to move to Chicago to pursue his education in the fashion industry. After a year he decided to pack his things and move to New York City, so he could continue his education in fashion.

 

Makeup Design was always a huge passion of his so he decided to take a slight career turn and go into a much older passion makeup artistry. He decided to enroll at world known MUD(MakeUp Designory) in New York City. This is where he learned all the key skills to becoming a successful makeup artist. He has tailored many of the techniques to fit his own needs. During his intensive training in the multimedia program he designed makeup for a series of beauty and fashion photoshoots, as well as designed a range of character. Precision and close attention to detail are what he finds to be his greatest strengths. He has worked on various beauty and editorial photo shoots with New York based photographers with models from Major Model Management and Wilhelmina Models. He looks forward to evolving and refining his craft in makeup artistry.
